Welcome to the Arbalest Academy! My name is JP, and this is the E-Teen Lab Virtual Entrepreneur course; a guide to starting an online business and earning money as a teenage entrepreneur.

I bet you’re wondering, “What type of business would I start?” The answer is simpler than you think: start with what you already know. What are your interests? What are your skills? What are you passionate about?

If you're bursting at the seams with an idea for your business, your next question is likely, “How can I start an online business with this idea?” Your next step will be to utilize something called digital marketing.

“Well JP, those are intimidating words. What does that even mean?” In simple terms, it just means that you will be sharing your amazing interests and ideas with the world, with the convenience and implementation of internet marketing tools to reach your prospective audience.

A vast number of successful teenagers around the world are already reaping the rewards of online entrepreneurship, and many more are on their way, benefiting from the lessons and instructions of this course. Amazingly, some generate millions of dollars per year implementing core business strategies, which is providing abundant value to customers. The key idea here is to help and provide people with value that they need or want. Finding ways to teach something, improve lives, or solve problems can generate a substantial income for you and your online business.

The goal of this course is to help you create an online presence using popular internet tools and platforms that will help you reach your populace. You might be surprised to discover that you already use many of these tools in your everyday life. If you follow the E-Teen course instructions, you will learn how to make this valuable information work for you and discover how to draw prospective customers to your online business. These prospective customers will in turn pay for the information, products, and services you offer.

Let’s discuss a few different business models that you might be interested in pursuing.

The first business model is a community/offline business where you can venture into the community/neighborhoods and provide a service, in-person, and for a fee (i.e. dog walking, lawn-care, tutoring, babysitting, sports training, music lessons, snow shoveling, fitness support, errand running, or whatever else you can provide). You’ll execute digital marketing strategies by utilizing different online tools (websites/social media accounts/email) to promote your business, to find customers online, and more importantly, to advertise to the people you already know in your community. You should have no problem earning your first few dollars by informing all your family, friends, and neighbors about your new business. If you provide the best possible service and experience for your clients, your business will soar!

The second business model is an online instructional business offering tutoring, lessons, or workshops all online. You can facilitate your lessons/tutorials/ workshops virtually by pre-recording them (and posting on Youtube/Vimeo/etc.), or by running live sessions on sites like Zoom or platforms like Google Meet. These are excellent businesses that can be monetized from paying clients to selling products that are directly related to your business’s theme. You will be shown how to get paid by recommending products.

The third business model is a print-on-demand online store. You can create your own digital designs and sell various products such as t-shirts, mugs, canvases, etc., or even start your own teen clothing brand. Although you will have to learn the strategies for advertising and bringing traffic to your store, these types of online stores are absolutely free to open and a whole lot of fun and rewarding once you get started. We’ll explain the process in the course and how to easily create stunning designs.

The fourth business model that we will be covering in this course, is the e-commerce store. You will be able to create and earn money selling things that revolve around your passion. Whether you are selling your own hand-made creations, affiliate marketing (digital products like e-courses and e-books), or dropshipping products from manufacturers, this can be a very lucrative business model. We will show you how to do this too!

I know this may seem like an overwhelming amount of information but I encourage you to start at the beginning and take it one step at a time. This first course is an overview that will provide you with some great ideas and options for your online business. Follow the instructions from the very beginning and learn how to effectively use the recommended online tools (blogs, social media accounts, google accounts).
