Have the ability to tutor others in what you've learned, and get paid to teach them!
Get hired as a consultant by people/businesses to help boost their performance/sales by improving their online presence and assisting in optimizing their content.
How to approach this course
This program was created for teens to provide the best information on how to start a fun and exciting business utilizing the power of the internet. Previous experience is not necessary! It’s an all encompassing and comprehensive course ranging from business ethics to teaching on a variety of internet platforms. The course is designed to strengthen critical thinking, leadership skills, self-responsibility, confidence, and problem-solving skills—all traits that can transfer to success both in school and beyond.
Teens under 18, please obtain your parent/guardian’s permission before accessing the E-Teen Lab course. It’s important to be transparent with them throughout the entire process of building your business. You may need to collaborate with them to help you register for payment apps so your business could accept payments. Some popular money transfer/payment apps are Paypal, Venmo, Zelle, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Amazon Pay, Popmoney, Cash App, etc. Paypal is the most popular. These are very simple to set up. Taking payments from customers has never been easier.
It would also be beneficial if you partnered up with one of your parents/guardians so they can assist in the decision making process, support business growth, and help you register for certain online programs which would provide access to huge databases of products to sell on your online store.
Safety First
Ensure all incoming and outgoing communications with your audience can be easily accessible by your parents. Never meet with anyone alone, ever. If you schedule an in-person meeting/lesson/session have an adult accompany you.
Never share any personal information with others such as your birthdate, home address (unless you are operating out of your home), social security number, or any other sensitive information. Keep all interactions professional. Report anything unusual or inappropriate to your parents/guardians immediately. Be safe!
At the end of each class, you may be instructed to complete a “call to action”. Please complete these to the best of your abilities. If any of the classes do not have a “call to action,” review the class material and spend time on familiarizing yourself with the class content.
